Magic Mike's Last Dance received a theatrical release, but how long will it be in theaters & when is it coming to streaming? We break it down.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance finally arrived in theaters, but it might not be there for long. Steven Soderbergh returns to direct Magic Mike’s Last Dance after Gregory Jacobs helmed Magic Mike XXL. The threequel is the conclusion to Mike Lane’s story, which sees him move from Miami to London after meeting Maxandra Mendoza, who encourages him to direct a Magic Mike stage show.
Channing Tatum returns to play Mike, and the actor performs two of the major dances, one being a lap dance for Salma Hayek Pinault’s Maxandra. Magic Mike’s Last Dance received mostly negative reviews, leaving the film with the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score of the trilogy. Unlike Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL, Last Dance was intended to be an original film for HBO Max, but plans changed and Warner Bros. instead went the route of releasing Soderbergh’s film in theaters. With the theatrical release window having gotten smaller over the years, Magic Mike’s Last Dance won’t be in theaters for too long, and it will eventually arrive on HBO Max for audience’s viewing pleasure.
Magic Mike's Last Dance Is Expected To Be In Theaters For About 2 Months

Magic Mike’s Last Dance released in theaters on February 10. Currently, the theatrical window is now 45 days at minimum, shrinking from previous 90-day theatrical runs pre-pandemic. Magic Mike’s Last Dance is expected to be in theaters for at least a month and a half to two months. The film will most likely leave theaters at the end of March or early April, just ahead of Easter. Warner Bros. released Don’t Worry Darling in September, and it was in theaters for a total of 10 weeks, while House Party and the Dwayne Johnson-led superhero film Black Adam were only in theaters for one month.
How long Magic Mike’s Last Dance remains in theaters will no doubt depend on how well the sequel does at the box office. In its opening weekend, the film earned $8.3 million across 1500 theaters. It’s less than its predecessors earned, but it also had the disadvantage of opening during Super Bowl weekend. While the film will probably see a boost in numbers thanks to Valentine’s Day, Magic Mike’s Last Dance will likely not stay in theaters for more than the 45-day window, especially as its release will be overshadowed by bigger films, like Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the Elizabeth Banks-directed film Cocaine Bear.
When Magic Mike's Last Dance Will Hit HBO Max

After Black Adam left theaters, it went to VOD first and then headed to HBO Max, two months after its theatrical run. Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling landed on HBO Max a month and a half after its initial theatrical release. Considering Magic Mike’s Last Dance was originally meant to stream on HBO Max, the film will likely be available on the platform 45 days after its theatrical release. That would put Magic Mike’s Last Dance’s streaming release at some point mid-March. It’s also possible the sequel will arrive on HBO Max even earlier considering the big movies coming up, which will leave Magic Mike’s Last Dance struggling to keep up.
