In 1954, Cadillac down graded their top-of-line Eldorado to share most of its panels with the standard Series 62 Hardtop. As a result the car was sold for $2,000 USD less which greatly increased sales of Cadillac’s only Convetible. As a result the 1954 Eldorado got the standard model’s full length chrome rocker panels which it would drop in 1957.
